Canine Wedding Ceremony Assistants:
Thanks for visiting our Canine Assistants page. If you have come this far, you are likely a doggie person and may be able to relate to some of the doggie humour. Although this is a 'fun page' we want to assure you that this is also a small but honest attempt to promote our concern for the many animals that need homes. This page is dedicated to all of the animals that are ready for adoption and are being cared for by the excellent staff and volunteers at the many SPCA locations throughout Ontario. Many of our Canine Assistants are family and close friends, but a few of these photos are dogs previously adopted through the SPCA in Newmarket. (None of these dogs are currently available; for those of you interested in adoption we offer these photos as a 'sampling only' of the many lovely animals looking for a home.)

Joy - Down Girl, Down
Feel more secure and confident on your wedding day! Our �First Wedding Dance� instructor joined our team of Canine Assistants in September 2008. Joy, affectionately know as 'Down Girl, Down', was the dance choreographer for the movie 'Pulp Fiction' and special adviser to John Travolta. In 2005 she introduced the 'Stroll' and the 'Step and Fetch Rag' to country dancing here in York region. Specializing in eastern swing, jive and country dancing she has used her four tiny paws in the pursuit of excellence. If you are unsure on the dance floor and have embarrassing four left feet give Joy a call. Her availability is limited. Shorter clients preferred.

Holly
Holly, is a semi retired, experienced flower girl. The Mother of 32 children! She is a real sweetie, well behaved, and excellent with children. Looks good in any color combination. Unfortunately she is only available for Fall and Winter outdoor Ceremonies.

Morgan
Morgan, who was born in York Region, is an excellent Ring Bearer! He attended puppy obedience school in Lindsay and in Uxbridge Ontario. Morgan was voted most popular among his classmates and teachers but failed to advance beyond the introductory level. He is outgoing, loves people of any race or creed and prefers to give and receive lots of attention. He was confirmed in the United Church. Morgan's availability is pending! He was recently put on the discontinued list for not using public toilets at a recent outdoor wedding.

Luke
Luke is our 5 month old Grandson Officiant/Ringbearer in training.
His ability to 'sit' and 'stay' is improving every day however; he is experiencing some difficulty with his table manners and his food selection. We are very optimistic though, that by 2010, Luke will make an excellent nondenominational ring bearer.

Lady
This is Lady our makeup specialist. Your complete satisfaction is guaranteed! She has excellent credentials and holds a Doctorate Degree in Petrology. Following her graduate degree, Lady interned at the 'Kiss N Make Up' academy where she studied under prominent York Region make up artist, Kim Primeau. Lady would love to to be part of your day. Harry
Harry hails from Claremont. A reformed squeaky toy destroyer, and chipmunk chaser, Harry recently found his true vocation as an usher assistant. A playful 10 year old pup who will gladly assist your ushers. Harry is also a former 'Shot Gun' wedding specialist. When called upon, he can be assertive. Guest sit at his command and late arrivals will be detained as the bridal party enters. Loves flowers and baloney sandwiches but was recently caught eating off the reception table. He is presently working through a correspondence course to improve his Ushering Protocol. Should be available for the 2009 season.

Roxy
Meet Roxy, our human obedience specialist. Roxy studied at Whiskers University in Pennsylvania where she holds the State 'slipper chewing' record. She is the founder of the "Academy of Human Obedience Instructional Program". Her human obedience program is two fold; first, participants learn a theoretical approach in understanding human pet owner behaviour. Second, students observe and participate in human training sessions, with some of the most talented canine human trainers in the industry. Free sessions are offered to all dogs whose owners are to be married by York Region Wedding Services

Scooby, from Newmarket Ontario, is our canine communication consultant for grooms. Our most sought-after canine assistant is the author of the bestseller 'How To Relate To Anyone'. Gandy is the owner of 'Everlasting Marriage Limousine Services'. He is a retired farm equipment operator and assistant chore manager at Entwood Farms in Claremont, Ontario. Gandy coordinates his company from the office couch, while his two assistants, Angela and Tony, handle his daily inquirers.
